Clare Bierman is a playwright and lyricist from a Japanese-Jewish home, raised with some rabbits, a snake, and a bunch of finches. As a performer, she’s been seen on stages across the US, and a lot in Copenhagen for some reason. She was a cast member on Un-Scripted Theater Company’s house team DASH in San Francisco. She also played baritone horn with San Francisco’s Burlesque Marching Band. She is currently pursuing her MFA in Musical Theater Writing at NYU. Michael Kostroff (Isador) - Michael Kostroff is a stage and television actor best known for his five seasons on HBO’s The Wire and a long list of other TV appearances including The Deuce, The Blacklist, Billions, Wizard of Lies, The Good Wife, and the recent HBO miniseries, The Plot Against America. He’s toured with The Producers and Les Miserables and appeared at regional theaters all over the country. Kostroff is also a teacher, coach, director, and writer. He is the author of the books Letters from Backstage and Audition Psych. 101 and his blog, The Weekly Curmudgeon (www.theweeklycurmudgeon.com).
Sherry Edelen (Kugel) - Sherri L. Edelen is an actor/teacher in the area for over 25 years. She recently appeared at Arena Stage in the pre-Broadway production of Dave. Other Arena appearances: Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, My Fair Lady and Ann. She received the Helen Hayes award for Les Miserables and Side Show at Signature Theatre and a Barrymore Award for The Light in the Piazza at Philadelphia Theatre Company. Recent credits: The Humans at Olney Theatre Center, Copenhagen at Theatre J, Romeo and Juliet at Folger Theatre, Outside Mullingar and Gary: A Sequel to Titus Andronicus at Fusion Theatre Company and Gypsy at Signature Theatre. She’s also performed at the Kennedy Center, Shakespeare Theatre, Olney Theatre, Ford’s Theatre, Round House Theatre, and Rep Stage and two national tours.
Teaching experience: Musical Theatre classes at Theatre Lab and the University of Mary Washington. Directing credits include Steel Magnolias and On Golden Pond starring Joyce DeWitt at Riverside Center for the Performing Arts and writing The Riverside Christmas Spectacular.
