About Us
Charging Moose Media began as the collaboration of two lifelong friends, Marcus Thorne Bagala and Ned Donovan. They have been producing work together since high school, where Marcus music directed Ned's production of The Last Five Years. Their collaborations continued into college, with Marcus at Berklee College of Music and Ned at Ithaca College.
After they both moved to New York City, Ned and Marcus continued to work together on various projects while building their own careers. In the fall of 2015, Ned approached Marcus and asked him to come onboard a music project he had been planning for a few years covering classic showtunes in contemporary radio genres. The result was Give My Regards to Broadway: Classic Showtunes Reimagined, which released in the spring of 2016. Later that year, Ned and Marcus collaborated again on The Hunted: Encore, a spinoff series to The Hunted, the longest running web series on the internet. Out of that project, this company was born.
As their individual careers evolved, Marcus stepped back to focus on his own ventures, and Charging Moose Media naturally transitioned into a production hub under Ned's sole direction.
Under Ned's leadership, the studio has stayed dedicated to the exact kind of work Charging Moose Media was launched to create. We focus on creating projects that feel distinct from other media properties. By combining ideas and formats in ways audiences haven't experienced before, we connect with passionate communities by finally giving them the stories they deserve in new and exciting ways. A perfect example of this is Encounter Party. Serving as one of the original producers of the podcast, we developed and championed a project that ultimately evolved into an official Dungeons & Dragons television series available now on Amazon Prime, Roku, Tubi, and more!
Through it all, the core philosophy of the company remains unchanged. Charging Moose Media came out of a desire to create fun, exciting, high quality media projects across a wide spectrum of interests with a diversely talented group of artists. We strive to create engaging, unique, professional products that showcase our talents and the talents of the many incredible artists around us. We are always open to new ideas, and would love to hear yours. If you are interested in working with Charging Moose, please do not hesitate to reach out to us through our Contact page!

Ned Donovan
Originally from Portland, Maine, Ned Donovan now resides in the Bronx. He is an Actor, Singer, Fight Director, and Executive Producer at Charging Moose Media. Beyond his work on stage and screen, Ned is the founder of Audition Cat, a platform for NYC theater professionals, and serves as the Director of Audio Fiction for the New Jersey WebFest. When he is not producing or performing, you can generally find him playing board and video games, enjoying nerdy TV shows, and loudly supporting his favorite sports teams. GO GOTHAM FC. GO PATRIOTS! (Ahem, sorry, we do not know how that got in there. His love for the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and the USWNT is equally intense.)
Under the Charging Moose Media banner, Ned served as Executive Producer, co-creator, and a series regular for the official Dungeons & Dragons television series Encounter Party, now streaming on Amazon Prime, Roku, and Tubi. He is actively developing an exciting slate of new projects for the company.
As an actor, Ned has been seen in theaters and screens all over the country. His work has been described as "Earnest", "Heartfelt", "Thrilling", and "Lovely" among others. He was once called "the minstrel with the mellifluous voice" in a review, though he had to google that word to make sure it was not super rude.
As a fight director and stunt coordinator, Ned has worked all over the industry. His work includes feature filmes on Netflix, award-winning theatre productions, multiple award-winning college theses, web series, and a brief stint on America's Got Talent Season 6 (do not worry, he was voted off the show super quickly and subsequently made fun of by Howie Mandel #BucketListItemComplete).
Ned holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Ithaca College, and is a proud member of the Actors' Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA. He is a member of The Television Academy in both the Producing and Performer peer groups.
